Peach Cobbler

Ah yes, the marvelous cobbler dish. So beloved by Americans, peach cobbler is the most often used and favored fruit to use, but you can also try substituting cherries, blueberries, and strawberries. They all taste fabulous.

Peach Cobbler Recipe-

Ingredients:
Directions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a very large sauce pan, combine 1 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water, put the peach slices in the pan, toss and stir to combine well, and bring the mixture to a vigorous boil. As soon as a boil is achieved, turn the heat down and simmer-cook for about 10 minutes, or until the liquid is a syrupy consistency.
  3. Take the pan off the burner.
  4. Melt the butter in a 3 quart baking dish, placed in the oven.
  5. Mix together the remaining 1 cup sugar and flour, and stir in the milk gradually to keep from clumping. Pour the combined and smoothed mixture over melted butter. Do not stir.
  6. Spoon the peach slices on top, then gently pour in the fruity syrup. Adorn the top with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon.
  7. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes. It is done when the batter has risen and is rising to the top.
  8. To serve your Peach Cobber, scoop generous portions onto a plate or into a serving bowl, and some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream to go with (or on top of) each serving.
  9. And don’t forget the freshly brewed, dark roast coffee!
