Ingredients:

Handy Kitchen Appliance to Have: a good quality juice extractor

Directions:
  1. Extract all of the juice out of the oranges
  2. In a medium saucepan, mix together well the juice with the cornstarch, cinnamon sticks, grated orange rind and sugar.
  3. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, stirring continuously with a plastic or wooden spoon.
  4. As soon as a vigorous boil is achieved, remove the pan from the heat, and add the butter; stir together thoroughly, until fully incorporated.
  5. Now pour the mixture into your ramekins and place them in the refrigerator to chill. Keep them refrigerated until cold through and through, and set up firm.
  6. When finished preparing your Costa Rican Orange Pudding recipe, and are ready to serve, tip the ramekins upside down over the serving plates. Tap the bottom of the ramekin until the pudding plops out onto the plate. Garnish with a few mint leaves, and enjoy!

  1. Love the sounds of this one! Will definitely be treating hubby to this dessert – we both love Central American cuisine so much.

  2. This looks and sounds delicious! I just bought a juice extractor, too, so I will definitely put it to use with this recipe. Gotta get some ramekins, though, and thanks for the link to purchase some – I will check the prices and order for sure, if they are competitive.

  3. I have a good friend who is from Costa Rica, and she says this pudding is wonderful. I’m not much of a cook, but I think I will ask her to whip some up for me, lol.
